Since the execution of Guru, some parts of the Kashmir Valley have been witnessing disturbances with several towns observing shutdown, protesters engaging police and para-military with stone pelting and senior separatists kept under house arrest. Today again, authorities had to impose curfew like restrictions in Srinagar and other major towns of the Valley to ward off any fresh trouble after Friday prayers tomorrow.

He had said that present generation of Kashmir might not identify itself with Maqbool Bhat but they would definitely identify them with Afzal Guru.
