SRINAGAR: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday congratulated skier Aanchal Thakur for winning a medal in Federation International Ski Race (FIS) held in Turkey.
“Congratulations, well done. May you have much more success in the years ahead,” Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), tweeted.
Mr Abdullah was responding to a tweet by Miss Thakur, which read, “Finally something unexpected happened.
My first ever International medal. Federation International Ski Race (FIS). At the end Turkey served me well.”
Miss Thakur has won a bronze medal in FIS race in Turkey. (AGENCIES)
