Omar Epps sued by former nanny

LONDON, Oct 9:  Actor Omar Epps is facing legal action from his children’s former nanny over allegations of unpaid overtime.
Alba Hernandez claims she worked for the House star and his wife Keisha for eight years until October, 2015, helping to care for their two kids, 12-year-old daughter K’mari Mae and eight-year-old son Amir, while also keeping their home tidy and cleaning up after their pets, reported Contactmusic.
In legal papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Hernandez alleges she also ran errands for Epps, but was never compensated for the extra hours she put in.
Hernandez acknowledges she was not an hourly employee, but estimates she should have been paid USD 65,000 a year for all of her additional work.
She is seeking unspecified damages for back wages and unpaid overtime.
A representative for Epps has yet to respond to the lawsuit. (PTI)
