Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Jan 3: Sunil Sethi, chief spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu and Kashmir, has criticized Omar Abdullah led National Conference (NC) Government for not addressing the problems and concerns of people of JK Union Territory and showing no regard or remorse to it’s inaction on pressing problems.
In a press release, issued here today he said in short span of about three months people of Jammu and Kashmir have understood that they can expect no justice or redressal of their grievances by this Government, which is self obsessed and have nothing to offer except blaming it’s inactions on UT status . He said that all departments are with UT Government except home and it is a matter of fact that only Home Department is working round the clock in ensuring maintenance of law and order and security, whereas all other departments are not delivering because of directionless governance,
Sunil Sethi also noted with concern the attitude of not listening with Chief Minister who has publicly said he has no time to read even what is being written or said by his own Member Parliament belonging to Shia community. This shows the attitude of Government which is not listening to it’s leaders . What can be expected from him about leaders of other parties or general public.
While there are pressing problems facing people especially Kashmir region because of power disruption and non supply of adequate fuel, the Chief Minister is busy buying fleet of costly cars for him.
Sunil Sethi recalled that during LG rule, Muharram procession was resumed in Srinagar which was closed during NC Congress regime. He further said that reservation is important aspect of Constitutional Rights and no effort to dilute it will be allowed particularly when the matter is subjudice.
