Omar led Govt ensured youth empowerment: Gupta

JAMMU, Apr 13: Omar Abdullah led Government has demonstrated unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and welfare.
This was stated by Rattan Lal Gupta, provincial NC president while addressing a meeting of Youth NC Jammu Urban here today. The meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Tejinder Pal Singh Aman, provincial president of YNC Jammu.
The senior NC leader highlighted that NC leadership has always prioritized youth welfare, skill development and employment generation.
He highlighted that Omar led Government has initiated the process to fill 1 lakh Government jobs on fast-track basis, aiming to address the pressing issue of joblessness among the youth.
Gupta highlighted that about 2,900 individuals involved in drug peddling have been arrested.
He demanded de-addiction centres in each districts for reforming the affected youth.
The NC leader also said that in just five months, Omar led Government has ensured many reforms including free travel for women in Government-operated buses, enhanced marriage assistance for underprivileged girls etc.
Babu Rampaul, NC Central Zone president, Sajjad Shaheen, MLA Banihal, provincial secretary, Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, Tejinder Pal Singh Aman also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, Tejinder Pal Singh Aman nominated Nitish Goswami and Dr. Vishal Parihar as Provincial vice presidents of YNC Jammu Province and Sunil Sharma as provincial secretary YNC Jammu Province.
