ANANTNAG, May 22: BJP spokesperson and former MLA, Ranbir Singh Pathania accused NC vice president, Omar Abdullah and PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti of selling hoaxes, hallucinations, half -truths.
Pathania made these allegations while addressing a series of meetings at Kokernag, Dooru, Bijbehara, Kalwan, Gadole, Brakpora, Pahalgam in district Anantnag.
He was critical of an interview given by Omar Abdullah to leading news daily whereby he has talked of return of Article 370. He was also critical of misinformation campaign of Mehbooba Mufti on the issue.
While accusing them of spreading lies and hoaxes, hallucinations, half truths, BJP spokesperson, emphasized that Article 370, which was always intended as a temporary provision, remained in the Constitution for 70 years but has now been conclusively revoked. Pathania pointed out that the Supreme Court’s Constitution Bench has already validated the revocation of Article 370. He added that review petitions filed by NC and PDP against this decision have been unsuccessful, further cementing the legal and constitutional soundness of the revocation.
Pathania said, “The attempts by NC and PDP to revive their political fortunes by resorting to false rhetoric and half-truths are nothing but futile. The people of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as the rest of India, are well aware that these narratives are no more than pipe dreams. Article 370 is now a relic of the past, and it’s time for these parties to move on and stop misleading the public.
He further said that people across the Valley have virtually made up their minds to wipe out NC, Congress, and PDP from the political profile of Kashmir – lock, stock, and barrel. These political parties have consistently betrayed the aspirations and hopes of the Kashmiri people, delivering a slew of failures, resulting in unemployment, bloodshed and terrorism in the region. Pathania highlighted that the people have resolved to teach a lesson to these opportunistic parties, which have misled the public but failed to deliver substantial results.
Their false and deceptive narratives have been exposed. NC, PDP, and Congress are seen as the villains behind the rigged elections of 1987, the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, and numerous failures and missed opportunities. Now, the people of Kashmir are ready to move beyond the era of bloodshed, unemployment, dynasty politics, and the politics of populism and rhetoric, he added.
The meetings were also addressed by Rafiq Ahmad Wani, co-Incharge Kashmir; Wajahat Hussain, district president; Zahoor Ahmed; Chowdhury, Roshan Din, Shokat Ali, Abid Nengroo, Nazir Chouhan, Anwar Phambra, Bashir Dar and others.
