JAMMU, Aug 7: Former Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah today said he was curious to know the reaction of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on India’s decision to boycott Commonwealth Parliamentary Union conference in Pakistan on denial of invitation to J&K Speaker Kavinder Gupta.
“I’m curious what his Chief Minister and Alliance leader thinks about the decision. I don’t think we will find out,’’ he said in a tweet.
In another tweet on the visit of NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah to Sabzian on the Line of Control (LoC), which was being shelled for the past four days, Omar said Dr Abdullah on a tour of Poonch visited Sabzian to reassure people caught up in LoC ceasefire violations.
“He has now returned to Poonch after spending considerable time with the people facing the brunt of Pakistan shelling. The State Government is totally missing,’’ Omar tweeted.
Omar also expressed serious concern over the second militant attack in as many days in Udhampur in Jammu region.
Last night militants attacked a police post in which two police personnel were injured. The working president of the National Conference (NC),  in a tweet said, “Another militant attack in Udhampur.
What the heck is happening there? This was an area that was militant-free for a number of years now.”
