SRINAGAR, May 24: Hundreds of individuals and scores of deputations from various parts of the State continued to beeline Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah’s residence at Gupkar road today to register their grievances and seek personal intervention of the Chief Minister for redressal.
Omar Abdullah spent full day with the public hearing their grievances and demands relating to the development matters.
Over 50 deputations from Baramulla, Kupwara, Handwara, Sopore, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Budgam, Srinagar, Pahalgam, Banihal, Jammu, Poonch, Kalakote and other areas in their separate meetings with the Chief Minister apprised him of their development needs and sought his intervention in redressal of grievances.
Various deputations of political activists in their interaction with the Chief Minister discussed mostly political issues.
Scores of individuals presented to the Chief Minister their individual problems and sought his help in resolving these.
Various Trade Union deputations, Casual Labours and Contractual Employees Associations, Srinagar Municipal Corporation Contractual Employees Association and a number of other Unions presented to the Chief Minister memoranda regarding their welfare and regularization.
The Chief Minister gave patient hearing to all who met him and assured that their genuine grievances would be given priority attention for redressal.
