SRINAGAR, Sept 20: Hitting out at Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed over his coalition with BJP which has submitted a bill in the Legislative Assembly seeking death penalty for cow slaughter, National Conference working president Omar Abdullah said he knows how to choose his friends.
While his extended family threatens Kashmiris with an economic blockade, Mufti Sb really knows how to choose friends, Mr Abdullah, who is a former Chief Minister of the State, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Mr Abdullah was responding to a tweet by his party spokesperson, which read, PDP’s beloved ally, the BJP submits a bill in the Assembly to make cow slaughter punishable by death. Not a whimper by Mufti. How shameless!
Responding to reports that Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh has announced that the Government has agreed to withdraw additional tax on commercial chopper rides, Mr Abdullah said, “But where does that leave the Finance Minister Aren’t announcements of this nature to come from him & his Dept.”
