SAMBA, Dec 17: Samba Police has seized 10 grams of heroin from a motor cyclist at Mansar More late last night during the surprise checking.
According to police, a naka was laid by Police Party SIDCO at Mansar More yesterday and during the surprise checking it intercepted one motor cycle bearing registration number JK02AF-7246 and a pouch containing 10 grams of heroin was recovered. The accused has been identified as Farooq Ahmed son of Abdullah of village Patti Nud, Samba.
He was taken into custody while the contraband was seized by police. The Samba Police has also registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
The naka was laid by a Police party of PP SIDCO headed by SI Sunil Dutt Sharma, I/C PP SIDCO under the supervision of Inspector. Sanjeev Chib, SHO P/S Samba and overall supervision of Shri Varinder Singh, Dy. SP Hqrs. Samba.
Police has also registered a case FIR No.198/2016 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act against Farooq at P/S Samba and started investigation.
