SAMBA, Mar 8: In continuation with its drive against the illegal sale of liquor in the district, Samba Police today arrested a person and recovered five liters of Desi illicit liquor at village Dussian in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
Acting on reliable information, Police team of PS Ghagwal conducted raid at village Dussian and caught a person red handed manufacturing Desi liquor illegally. The accused person identified as Parveen Singh, son of Surat Singh of Dussian, Ghagwal has been arrested on spot.
Moreover, five liters of illicit liquor was also seized on spot along with the stills, utensils which were being used for the preparation of illegal Desi liquor.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 56/2021 U/S 48 (e) Excise Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation taken up.
