UDHAMPUR, Nov 28: Police today arrested a bovine smuggler and recovered 15 bovines from his possession.
According to a police spokesperson, a party of Police Post Tikri led by its incharge Nishant Gupta, laid a naka at NH1A, Tikri and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02T-0773 and recovered 15 bovine animals loaded in it.
Police immediately arrested the driver of the vehicle, Gul Zameer, son of Suleman a resident of Nai Basti, Nagrota, the spokesperson said.
The truck was seized on the spot and a case in this concern registered in the said Police Post, he added.
