MENDHAR, Feb 24: The police today arrested one accused allegedly involved in the murder of a Bihari labourer in Darana area of Mendhar tehsil.
The accused identified as Nandu Matto, son of Shanker Matto hails from Dhobiwalla in Bihar. He was also living in the neighbourhood of deceased Husnain Ansari. The police said he along with Khushi Mohd murdered Ansari and then dumped him in the gutter about a month back. Khushi Mohd, a labour- contractor has gone underground after the incident.
Today, family members of Ansari including his son and nephew finally identified the deceased and the body was disposed off after performing legal formalities. Khushi Mohd was still absconding and real cause behind the murder was being ascertained, SDPO Amit Bhasin said.
