RAJOURI, July 18: A villager was arrested for his alleged involved in a sacrilegious act, inviting protest from the other community in Nowshera area today.
Reports said that one Bhag Hussain, son of Hakam Din, resident of Dabbar village allegedly killed a bovine animal, invited protest from the members of the other community. The police party from Nowshera received information in this regard and rushed to the village and arrested Bhag Hussain and also seized the body parts of the killed animal. A case was registered against him.
The people from the other community held protest at Gujral Chowk, Nowshera demanding immediate arrest of the accused person. The SHO, Chaman Gorkha rushed to the spot and told the agitating people that accused has already been arrested and stern action as per law will be taken against him. The people then called off the protest.
