JAMMU : Jammu Police today arrested one person in ATM theft case along with cash worth lakhs.
“Based on tip off raids were conducted and one Kala, son of Sheru, resident of Chinore Farm was arrested this morning,” Rajinder Sharma station house officer, police station Gandhi Nagar told.
Mr Sharma said that he is being questioned and more arrests in this case cannot be ruled out adding, “it was group of eight persons. We are on job to apprehend the absconders,” he added.
He further said that details about the amount stolen from the ATM are also being ascertained.
A group of burglars yesterday, stolen cash over 4 lakh alongwith Automatic Teller Machine from Nanak Nagar area.
Empty ATM was later recovered from a canal in Sarore area of Bari Brahmana.
