RAJOURI, Aug 23: The police has booked and arrested a local youth for sharing a sensitive post of a sacrilegious act having potential to disturb peaceful atmosphere of the district.
Accused has been identified as Aijaz Ahmed, son of Hussain Mohd, resident of Agrati village in Rajouri.
As per preliminary inquiry, it has come to the notice that the boy shared video of a sacrilegious act that has taken place in some area of PoK on his Facebook wall thereby, hurting the sentiments of a particular community.
Taking strong note of this, Rajouri police booked the said person in a case FIR No. 472/2018 U/S 153-A RPC of Police Station Rajouri and a police team under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Rajouri, Govind Rattan arrested the accused.
Rajouri police has appealed all people to use social media platforms in a positive way and to refrain from any act which hurts the sentiments of any community.
