JAMMU, Jan 13: One person was arrested today with heroin by Bishnah police.
“Today on specific information, a special naka was laid between Deoli and Kotli Mian Fateh road by a team of police station Bishnah. During checking, one motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BX-4582 tried to dodge police naka but alert cops immediately intercepted the bike”, a police spokesperson said.
He said on personal search of the rider, who was identified as Avinash Kumar son of Chaman Lal resident of village Banota (RS Pura), four gram of heroin like substance (chitta) was recovered from his possession and he was arrested on spot.
“In this connection, a case FIR No 11/2018 under Sections 8/21/22/NDPS has been registered at police station Bishnah”, the spokesperson said, adding, the arrest was made by a police team headed by Inspector Rajesh Sharma under the close supervision of Surinder Choudhary, SDPO RS Pura and Romesh Kotwal, SP HQ Jammu under overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta.
