One booked for sale of banned kite thread

JAMMU, Aug 14: In a drive against the sale of banned synthetic threads (manja), various raids were conducted in different locations by Jammu police.
A team of police station Pacca Danga led by SHO Inspector Ajit Singh raided a shop in Jain Bazar area and recovered 13 rolls of synthetic threads (manja). The police team also arrested the accused shopkeeper namely Rajan Kumar son of Darshan Kumar, resident of Pakki Dakki (Jammu) for violation of DM order regarding ban on sale of plastic/synthetic threads (manja).
In this connection, a case FIR Number 135/2021 under Section 188 of IPC was registered in police station Pacca Danga. The arrest and recovery were made under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
