JAMMU, Nov 4: A 36 years old man today allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Phlain Mandaal area of city outskirts while two women made abortive attempt on their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Bua Ditta son of Girdhari Lal, a resident of Bhurechak in Phlain Mandaal area allegedly consumed some poisonous substance this morning at his residence. Finding him unconscious, the family members rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, but doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting postmortem while the concerned police has also taken cognizance of the matter.
Rajni Devi (35) wife of Ram Singh, a resident of Akhnoor and Sabo Devi wife of Kuldeep, a resident of Kathil (Majalta) also consumed some poisonous substances at their respective residences. They were shifted to GMCH by their family members, where their condition is stated to be stable.
In both the cases, the concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
