SAMBA, Dec 12: In Samba district, two people attempted suicide, one of whom died while the condition of the other is stated to be critical.
As per reports a boy in Vijaypur ended his life by hanging himself at his home. The boy who was reading in the 9th Class committed suicide by hanging himself at his home near Vishwakarma Temple in Ward No. 9 of Vijaypur. There was no one at home at that time. As soon as the family members came and saw him, they immediately took him to Vijaypur Hospital where the doctor declared him as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as 15-year-old Ram Mishra, son of Ajay Mishra, resident of Banaras, Uttar Pradesh, who currently lives in Vijaypur. The second case is from Badla village of Ghagwal where a person swallowed poisonous substance after which his condition deteriorated and he was brought to District Hospital Samba (DHS). After first aid from the hospital, he was referred to the Government Medical College Hospital of Jammu for better treatment. The injured has been identified as 37 year old Jasbir Singh, son of Chandu Ram, resident of Badla, Ghagwal. The police have taken cognizance of both the cases and started investigation.
