JAMMU, Nov 12: Jammu Mathematical Society under the aegis of Department of Mathematics, University of Jammu organized one day students’ conference on Mathematics.
In the conference, 50 students from various colleges and universities participated and made presentations on various topics in Mathematics and their applications to Science, Engineering, Medical Sciences, Economics, etc.
A panel of experts adjudged Manish Verma, Samandeep Singh and Pradeep Singh as first second and third respectively in post graduate category, whereas Rajive Kumar Singh was awarded with consolation prize.
In under graduate category, Sheriya Shreen and Manvi Sharma bagged first and second positions respectively, whereas Sehar Shakeel Raina and Monika Abrol shared third position. The consolation prize was awarded to Ankita Aggarwal and Tabun.
The prizes will be given to the winners at the inaugural function of annual conference of Jammu Mathematical Society on February 28 at Department of Mathematics, University of Jammu.
