One dead, two injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Aug 30: One person died and two others injured in separate road accidents in Jammu District.
A police spokesperson said that one Sourab (22) son of Sham Singh of Barnai was hit by a load carrier on the flyover opposite Pawan Ice Cream around 4 Pm on Tuesday.
He was taken to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for treatment where he breathed his last around 11:30 Pm the same day.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for conducting the post-mortem.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured after the car they were travelling in rammed into a roadside pole near Top Paloura, BSF Camp.
They were rushed to the Government Medical College Jammu where their condition is stated to be critical.
The injured have been identified as Rajat (28) of Akalpur and Ritik (23) son of Kamal Sharma of Poonch.
Police in Tallab Tillo and Domana have registered cases under relevant sections of the law and started up further investigations.
