Srinagar, July 26: A person was killed while six others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley, police said today.
A police spokesman said here that a motorcycle driven by Abid Hussain Matoo skidded of the road near Razoo hospital at Qazigund area of Kulgam district, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. “The injured succumbed to injuries while on way hospital,” the spokesman said. In another incident, an Auto load carrier bearing registration number JK18-2977 collided with a motorcycle near Yaripora area of the district resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist Shabir Ahmad Malik. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered cases in both the accidents,” the spokesman said.
In Anantang, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK13C-4677 driven by Pervaiz Ahmad met an accident near Donipora in Sangam resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and pillion mate Shahzad Ahmad Bhat. Police said that both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara for treatment where from Pervaiz Ahmad was referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard, the spokesman said.
In Budgam, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK04C-5385 met an accident at Satmulla in Loolipora area of Chadoora resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist Bashir Ahmad Khanday and pillion mate Showkat Hussain. “Both the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment,” the spokesman said.
A Maruti car bearing registration number JK01U-3991 driven by Mohammad Maqbool Dar hit and injured a Pedestrian namely Sara in Khansahab area of the distric, police said, adding that the injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police have registered cases in both the accidents.
