Srinagar, Aug 5: Police today said that a person was killed and 12 others were injured in different road accidents across the valley.
A police spokesman said that a tipper bearing registration number JK01-6827 collided with a Swift car near JVC Hospital on Bypass resulting in on spot death of the car driver and injuries to 2 persons boarding the car. “Both the injured were shifted to JVC Hospital for treatment.
In another incident, the spokesman said, a Tavera bearing registration number JK14B-4591 skidded off at Daksum in Kokernag area of Anantnag district resulting in injuries to 8 passengers. “All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
He said that a tipper bearing registration number JK13B-4513 collided with an Auto load carrier bearing registration number JK01T-1391 near diver crossing in Mirgund area of Baramulla district resulting in injuries to auto driver Jan Mohammad Gojree. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the police spokesman said.
In yet another accident, an LP-407 vehicle bearing registration number JK01J-9332 hit and injured a girl Mehnaz Yaseen at Budubagh in Khanyar area of the city here. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman added.
