JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, July 19: One person died of COVID-19 and 123 tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir while 11 new cases were reported in Ladakh today.
Lone Corona casualty and 72 cases were reported in Kashmir while Jammu region recorded 51 new positive cases.
Among 51 cases in Jammu region, 17 were reported in Jammu district, 15 Doda, nine Rajouri and two each in Udhampur, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban and Reasi districts.
Samba and Kathua districts didn’t report any fresh COVID cases today.
As against 51 cases, 93 persons recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 1,21,285 Corona cases. Of them, only 754 are active positives while 1,18,399 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2132 casualties.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today reported 11 new Corona positive cases including eight in Leh and three in Kargil.
Ladakh’s Corona count stood at 20257 including 103 active positives, 19948 recoveries and 206 fatalities—148 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 72 fresh cases of COVID-19 while one person succumbed to the viral infection.
Those who tested positive include 33 from Srinagar, 4 from Baramulla, 2 from Budgam, 4 from Pulwama, 8 from Kupwara, 2 from Anantnag, 6 from Bandipora, 8 from Ganderbal, 3 from Kulgam and 2 from Shopian.
As per officials figures, 70,977 positive cases including 832 deaths and 69,738 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,490 including 281 deaths and 23,109 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,809 including 22,515 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Budgam, 15,114 including 14,833 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,009 including 165 deaths and 13,782 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,283 including 15,991 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,440 cases including 9,270 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,824 including 9,675 recoveries and 77 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,217 including 11,066 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,576 including 5,508 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
The total number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 198,739 including 195,487 recoveries and 2,233 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,773 including 1,019 from Kashmir division.
With 268 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 313,886, which is 98.08 percent of the total cases.
