JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Oct 1: Jammu and Kashmir today reported one casualty and 133 COVID positive cases while Ladakh recorded eight new cases.
One COVID death and 97 new cases were registered in Kashmir and 36 new cases were recorded in Jammu.
Among 36 cases, 12 were reported from Doda district, 10 Jammu, seven Rajouri, three each in Kathua and Poonch and one in Udhampur district.
Samba, Kishtwar, Ramban and Reasi districts didn’t report any new cases today.
Twenty seven persons today recovered from the virus leaving behind 308 active positive cases in the Jammu region.
Out of eight cases in the Union Territory of Ladakh, seven were reported in Leh district and one in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 68 active positive cases including 64 in Leh and four in Kargil district.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 97 fresh cases of COVID-19. One person also died of COVID in Kashmir.
Those who tested positive include 57 from Srinagar, 7 from Baramulla, 14 from Budgam, 3 from Kupwara, 2 from Anantnag, 6 from Bandipora and 8 from Ganderbal.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached to 205,727 including 202,446 recoveries and 2,250 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,339 including 1,031 from Kashmir division.
With 138 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 323,801 which is 98.25 percent of the total cases.
