One dies, 18 test +ve in Ladakh; 193 cases in J&K

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Nov 19: One person died of COVID-19 and 18 tested positive for the virus in Ladakh today while 193 fresh cases were reported in Jammu and Kashmir.
An 82-year-old man hailing from Leh succumbed to the virus this morning taking COVID toll in the Union Territory of Ladakh to 212 and Leh to 154. Rest 58 casualties have been reported in Kargil district.
All 18 COVID positive cases in Ladakh were reported from Leh district today taking number of active positive cases to 211 including 202 in Leh and nine in Kargil district.
In J&K, 170 cases were recorded in Kashmir and 23 in Jammu division.
Among 23 cases, 12 were reported in Reasi district, six Jammu, two each Udhampur and Doda districts and one in Rajouri. Rest of the districts didn’t report any cases.
Four doctors in the Government Gandhi Nagar Hospital Jammu, have also tested positive for the virus.
Eighteen persons recovered from the virus leaving number of active positive cases to 262.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 170 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 61 from Srinagar, 15 from Baramulla, 7 from Budgam, 5 from Pulwama, 43 from Kupwara, 5 from Anantnag, 11 from Bandipora and 24 from Ganderbal.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 210,286 including 206,602 recoveries and 2,277 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,669 including 1,407 from Kashmir division.
With 105 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 328,888 which is 98.18 percent of the total cases.
