JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Oct 26: One person died of COVID-19 and 82 others tested positive for the virus in Kashmir while 15 new cases were reported in the Jammu region and four in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Among 15 cases in the Jammu region, six were registered in Poonch, three in Jammu, two each in Rajouri and Doda and one each in Udhampur and Reasi districts.
Twenty persons recovered from the virus leaving behind number of active cases in the Jammu region to 124.
Among four cases in Ladakh, three were recorded in Leh and one in Kargil.
The UT now has 37 active positive cases—35 in Leh and two in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 82 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 36 from Srinagar, 18 from Baramulla, 16 from Budgam, 1 from Kupwara, 5 from Bandipora, 5 from Ganderbal and 1 from Kulgam.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 207,503 including 204,518 recoveries and 2,255 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 854 including 730 from Kashmir division.
With 77 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 326,510 which is 98.41 percent of the total cases.
