One dies, 9 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Nov 9: One person died and nine injured in separate road accidents in Jammu District, officials said today.
One Bua Ditta (48) son of Lal Chand of Gole Pulli, Talab Tillo, Jammu, suffered injuries on November 6, 2023, after a two-wheeler he was riding on collided with another bike at Canal Road near Irrigation office, they said.
“He was admitted to Government Medical College Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries around 7:20 am today,” officials said.
Meanwhile, nine persons suffered injuries in separate road accidents in the District.
One Krishan Singh (58) son of Baldev Singh of Badyal Qaziyan, RS Pura, suffered injuries after a scooty he was riding on slipped off the road at Satraiyan Morh, RS Pura.
At Bakshi Nagar area, one Akshay Sharma (30) son of Satinder Sharma of Tallab Tillo, sustained injuries when his motorcycle was hit by a car.
Six-year-old Altaf son of Mohammad Majid of Muthi, Dharmal, was hit by a motorcycle near his home, resulting in injuries to the child.
One Mohan Bharti (58) son of Niranjan Dev of Narwal, suffered injuries after he was hit by a car on the Jammu-Pathankot Highway near JK Bank, Narwal.
A couple-Janak Raj (70) son of Sham Dass of Prem Nagar, Badyal Brahaman, and Inderjeet Sharma (68)-suffered injuries after their scooty was hit by a bike at Banota, RS Pura.
One Rakesh Kumar Sharma (42) son of late Mohan Lal Sharma of Upper Laxmi Nagar, Sarwal, suffered injuries at Laxmi Nagar when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.
Two persons Rashpal (30) son of Tilak Raj of Miran Sahib and Bishan (55) son of Nanak Chand of Miran Sahib suffered injuries after the motorcycle they were riding on slipped off the road.
All the injured have been hospitalised and cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered at the concerned police stations with investigations in all the cases set into motion.
