JAMMU, June 19: One person, who sustained injuries in a road accident on Tuesday died, while another suffered injuries in another accident today.
A police official said that one Nikhil (17) son of Vijay Kumar of Akhnoor was admitted to Government Medical College Jammu on June 18, 2024 after his bike slipped off the road near Nakul Palace area at Barnai.
“He breathed his last at the hospital around 12:10 pm today,” said the police official.
Police have shifted the body of the deceased youth to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem while a case under the relevant sections of the law stands registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation taken up.
Meanwhile, in another accident, one Sourav Singh (27) son of Sukhdev Singh of Doomi, Akhnoor, suffered injuries after his motorcycle was hit by a bus at Purkhoo Camp near Petrol Pump.
He has been admitted to Government Medical College Jammu for treatment.
Police have started investigation in this case as well after registering a case at Police Station Domana under the relevant sections of the law.
