JAMMU, Jan 29: One person died in an alleged fire incident at his residence in Arnia area while another succumbed to accident injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here today.
According to police sources, a 65-year-old man namely Sardari Lal son of Magar Ram, resident of Pindi Charka (Arnia) was brought dead today in GMCH Jammu by his brother Jeet Raj after the former received serious burn injuries in a fire incident at his residence. “The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while Arnia Police had taken cognizance,” they added.
Meanwhile, sources said a 60-year-old woman namely Rattno Devi wife of Manga Ram, resident of Taroti Kullian (Khour) succumbed to his accident injuries at GMCH Jammu today at about 6.30 AM. The victim had suffered injuries on January 20 after she was hit by a speeding motorcycle at Khour. “After postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to her family while Khour Police had taken cognizance,” sources added.
