POONCH, Sept 7: One person was killed when a shooting stone hit a car near Shikargah in Dogrian area on Mughal road during morning hours today.
Official sources said that an Alto car, bearing registration number JK12A- 0788 was on its way to Kashmir from Poonch side. When it reached near Shikargah, Dogrian area, a shooting stone from the mountain top hit the vehicle and overturns it on the road. One person on board the car was seriously injured in the mishap and was shifted to Srinager for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Officials identified the deceased person as Saleem Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Ward No. 9 Mohalla Radio Station, Poonch. A Traffic Police official said that four persons were travelling in the vehicle but one among them got fatal injuries. The others were safe with just minor bruises.
