UDHAMPUR, July 25: In a road mishap, a youth died while another got seriously injured when their Scooty was hit by a truck on the National Highway near Manthal, here today.
The deceased was identified as Sumit Singh (27) son of Naseeb Singh of Shodta in Dhansal. The injured namely Farid Din (28) son of Nawab Din of Shodta has been admitted in District Hospital Udhampur.
Meanwhile, a 22-year old youth committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan hook at his house near Pandav Mandir Udhampur.
The deceased, identified as Rakesh Kumar (22) son of Khem Raj of Chenani, was found hanging in his rented room near Pandav Mandir Udhampur. He was working as a labour and cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained.
