JAMMU, Jan 1: Two young men drowned today in Tawi River while body of one was recovered, another was still missing.
According to a police official, two persons namely Mukesh of Raipur Jagir and Devinder Singh of Pardorh, in an attempt to cross Tawi River near Sandwa Village in Jammu, went into deep waters and drowned.
He said the incident happened today at about 6 PM. “While the dead body of Mukesh was recovered by the local divers, the body of Devinder could not be located,” the official said, adding the search operation was suspended due to darkness and will be re-started in the morning by the SDRF team, which has reached the spot.
“The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter,” he added.
