RAJOURI, Sept 12: Excise Department sleuths today conducted extensive raid in several villages and recovered 300 kg Lahan and 12 bottles of illicit liquor. One person was also arrested.
Official sources said that Excise party led by Inspector Mohd Parvez under the supervision of ETO Rajouri-Poonch Range, Sheraz Ahmed Chouhan raided villages Dangri, Meira, Ladyot, Saranu, Potha, Sailsui, Panjnara and Siot and recovered 300 kg Lahan besides 12 bottles of illicit liquor. One Kaka Kumar, son of Mela Ram from Siot was arrested. The team destroyed the Lahan on the spot and booked the bootleggers under Excise Act.
