One held for bovine smuggling bid

JAMMU, Apr 9: Khour police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and arrested a man in this connection.
According to a police spokesman, on specific information of bovine smuggling, a police team led by Inspector Ravinder Rakwal, SHO, police station Khour laid a surprise naka at Panjgrian at about 3 AM and arrested a man Liaquat Ali son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Rajwal, along with eight bovine animals, which he was taking on foot for smuggling.
“All the bovines were rescued and the accused was arrested on the spot”, the spokesman said, adding, a case in this connection was registered at police station Khour and further investigations were underway.  `1`1
