SAMBA, Sept 3:In a bid to ensure hassle free supply of essential commodities to the people, District Police Samba has arrested one more person from, Bari Brahmana area for embezzling cooking gas meant for the public and recovered 14 domestic LPG Cylinder (13 filled and 01 empty) & 01 small cylinder from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Gandhrav Singh, S/o Mangal Dass of Krishan Nagar, Kartholi, Bari Brahmana.
Acting on the specific information, a police party of P/S Bari Brahmana headed by SHO P/S Bari Brahmana, Inspector, Rajesh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, Sunil Kesar conducted raid at the shop of the accused person at Kartholi, Bari Brahmana and found him refilling the gas cylinders. Fourteen LPG Cylinder (13 filled and 01 empty) and 01 small cylinder along with refilling instrument were seized on the spot. The accused used to embezzle cooking gas for making illegitimate profits by selling illegally among the locals.
In this regard a case FIR No. 119/2019 U/S 286 RPC, 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
