RAMBAN, May 17: Gool Police has apprehended a man for illegal hoarding of diesel in his house.
“Acting on specific inputs that a person is dumping diesel for selling purpose at his house at Dharam, tehsil Gool, a team of Police Station Gool raided the house of the accused namely Arshad Ahmad son of Abdullah Manhas and found three barrels containing diesel like substance having capacity 100 litres, 50 litres and 50 litres, respectively lying alongside the tin-sheet wall of his house,” a police spokesperson said.
He said on further checking of the premises of the accused, five more barrels (20 litres of capacity) containing diesel like substance were found concealed inside the cavity made in the ground. “All the eight barrels containing total of 300 litres of diesel like substance were seized and the accused person was arrested on the spot,” he added.
The spokesperson said that a case FIR number 47/2021 U/S 3/7 Essential Commodities Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Gool and further investigation started.
The arrest and recovery were made by a police party headed by Inspector Mushtaq Jaral SHO Gool under the supervision of Nihar Ranjan SDPO Gool.
