One held for selling Govt ration

SAMBA, Dec 5: Ramgarh Police arrested one person who was selling the Government ration at Ramgarh in district Samba today.
Police said as per reliable information, a team of Ramgarh Police Station headed by inspector, Chaman Gorkha, SHO of the police Station today arrested one person who was selling the Government ration at Ramgarh. He was carrying Government ration in Mahindra load carrier bearing Registration No JK02CH-0375. Seeing the opportunity, he started selling the ration in the market in black.
For the last few months police has received many complaints about the ration dealer. On the basis of which SSP Samba, with the help of intelligence sources and the Ramgarh Special Team kept an eye on the accused, which foiled the bid of ration dealer to sell the Government ration in black.
The police laid a naka and when the accused saw the police he accelerated his vehicle, but alert cops chased the vehicle and intercepted in at Ramgarh Chowk. During the frisking of vehicle, 35 flour sacks and 5 wheat sacks were recovered on spot. Police arrested the accused and seized the vehicle on spot.
The accused person has been identified as Ashwani Kumar, son Prithvi Raj resident Ranjitpur, Nandpur, Bishnah.
The Whole operation was carried out under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Shakti Pathak under the direct supervision of SDPO, Lov Karan Taneja.
In this regard a case FIR No 79/2019 under Section 406/409 IPC 3/7 registered against the accused in Ramgarh Police Station and started further investigations.
