KATRA, June 16: The police arrested one person and recovered illicit liquor from his possession at holy town of Katra in district Reasi here today.
Official sources said that a Katra police party led by SHO Insp Sanjeev Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Katra, Dr Ashok Sharma intercepted one person at Matyal naka point, near Petrol pump and recovered 40 poly pouches of J&K Excise liquor from him. Each poly pack contained 250 ml of liquor.
The accused identified as Dharam Paul, son of Bishan Dass, resident of Dayala Chak in Tehsil Hiranagar was arrested and a case under FIR No. 106/ 2016 registered against him.
