SRINAGAR, July 21: Police arrested one person and recovered more half a kilogram of brown sugar from his possession.
A police spokesman said that acting on specific information, Tral Police established a Naka at Batagund crossing under the supervision of Dy SP Tral and SHO Police Station Awantipora.
The spokesman said that on noticing suspicious movement, they apprehended Ghulam Nabi Beigh son of Abdul Ahad resident of Lurgam-Tral and recovered 600 grams of brown sugar from his possession. Police has registered a case FIR No 35/12 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act and investigation is on.
