RAMBAN, Aug 18: Police here today arrested a narcotics smuggler and recovered Charas like substance from him.
A team of cops from Police Station Ramban during checking near T-Chowk signalled a man to stop for checking and during his checking 44 grams Charas was recovered.
The narcotic smuggler was arrested and he disclosed his name as Mohd Shafi, son of Abdul Gani, resident of Kowbag, Tehsil & District Ramban.
A case in FIR number 271/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in this regard at Police Station Ramban, and investigation started.
The recovery and arrest was made by cops of Police Station Ramban led by Inspector Nayeem Mattoo, SHO Ramban under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Ramban, Om Prakash, Gourav Mahajan, Additional SP Ramban and under the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
