UDHAMPUR, July 31: Continuing its drive against narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, Udhampur Police today recovered 110 grms of Charas from smuggler near Subash Stadium, Link Road, Udhampur.
Based on reliable information, a party of PS Udhampur, led by SHO Vijay Choudhary, under the supervision of Kulbir Handa, DySP HQ, laid a naka near Subash Stadium Link Road, Udhampur and intercepted the accused. Upon his search, 110 gms of Charas was recovered from possession of the accused, identified as Ashok Kumar son of Paras Ram of W. No. 03, Adarah Colony, Udhampur.
Police arrested the accused and seized the Charas. In this connection, a case FIR number 378/2018 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur.
