JAMMU, June 15: Police claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler with 3 kilograms of Ganja from RS Pura area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station RS Pura led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Pawan Kumar while on naka duty at Brick Kiln, Kotli Gala Bana rounded up a suspected person.
“During his search, 3 kilograms of Ganja was recovered from the accused,” he said.
The accused identified as Bhuvan Prasad Kewat of Chhattisgarh has been booked in case FIR number 91/2023 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS registered at RS Pura Police Station and further investigation taken up.
Pertinently, the entire operation was carried out under the supervision of SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta.
