JAMMU, Jan 31: Bishnah Police today arrested a drug peddler at Sikanderpur naka and recovered 4 grams of heroin from his possession.
“During a special naka laid by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Vikram Sharma, a suspect identified as Mandeep Singh alias Manu son of Jaswant Singh, resident of Lower Gadigarh (Jammu), was intercepted when he was travelling in a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AW-1693,” a police spokesman said.
He said on search, 4 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the accused. “In this regard, a case under FIR Number 34/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bishnah and the accused arrested,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
