JAMMU, May 22: Sidhra Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 6 grams of heroin from his possession.
“A team of Police Post Sidhra led by Chowki Incharge PSI Arun Kumar while on naka duty at Tawi Bridge (Sidhra) rounded up a suspected person on a vehicle bearing registration number JK02BC-9825 and during search, 6 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession,” a Police spokesman said.
He said a case under FIR Number 239/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Nagrota and the accused identified as Murtaza Ali son of Sikander Ali, resident of Ganga Nagar (Bantalab, Jammu).
Further investigation of the case was going on, the spokesman added.
