RAMBAN, July 21: Police here today during a Naka checking at Kunfer, Chanderkote on National Highway 44 arrested a man and recovered seven gram heroin from his possession.
Sources informed that cops from Police Station Chanderkote led by PSI Rajnesh stopped a car bearing Registration Number JK02AN-1273 for checking at Kunfer while it was coming from Jammu and moving towards Srinagar.
During checking cops found seven gram of heroin-like substance from the possession of Stanzin Choshpel, son of Konchok Tsepail, resident of Chuchot, Tehsil Shamma, Leh and he was arrested on the spot.
Police has registered a case in FIR No. 107 of 2024 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act at Police Station Chanderkote in this regard.
The vehicle used in the crime was also seized.
