UDHAMPUR, Jan 22: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, police patrolling party of police station Udhampur apprehended one drug peddler and recovered 5 grams of heroin like substance (chitta).
While patrolling near Doodha Dhari Temple, police party caught one suspected person who tried to hide himself from police party for checking.
During search, 5 gram of heroin like substance was recovered from the person identified as Abhinash Sharma son of Shambu Dutt, resident of Billan Bowli (Udhampur).
The accused was arrested and the contraband recovered from him seized by the police which also registered a case vide FIR Number 30/2021 under Sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act in this connection at police station Udhampur.
Further investigation in the case was underway.
