JAMMU, Mar 28: Satwari police today arrested a drug peddler with 8.61 gm of heroin and a cash amount of Rs 46,000.
The accused was arrested from near Babliana Road, Jeevan Nagar (Jammu) by a police team led by SHO Police Station Satwari Inspector Sameer Jeelani assisted by PSI Sandeep Kumar while on naka duty, after the accused behaved suspiciously on seeing police teams.
On search, 8.61 grams of heroin, cash of Rs 46000 and 1 electronic weighing machine was recovered from the possession of the accused. In this regard, a case FIR Number 56/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered in Police Station Satwari and the accused identified as Choudhury Asif Ali son of Nazir Ahmed of Langotian (RS Pura) was arrested.
