JAMMU, Apr 16: Police in Jammu’s Bishnah area claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 3 grams of heroin-like-substance from his possession.
A police spokesperson said that Abhi Sharma of Kunjwani, Jammu, was arrested with the consignment during routine checking at Mehmoodpur, Bishnah.
“The accused has been booked in case FIR number 91/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up,” he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and recovery was made by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna, assisted by SHO concerned, Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SP Headquarters, Ramnish Gupta.
